Sitting with legs crossed,
watching my breath.
I breathed into my heart
and a pink rose appeared
there. It was quite beautiful.
It felt soft and calmed my soul.
It stayed there for several
breaths. I felt a peace that
passed all my understanding.
Then on an out breath all the pink
petals floated out into space and
danced a bit before disappearing.
It was all so wonderfully
temporary.

Breaking News from our Cul-de-sac
We had just returned from walking
Nova. Joann was checking the side
yard while I was giving Nova his
after walk treat, when Evelyn our 2nd
grade neighbor came over to show
us she had lost one of her two
front teeth. She stuck her tongue
through the gap to prove it.
She had to show both of us. It is a
big deal you know! She told us her
new tooth was already poking
up. Joann asked her if the tooth
fairy had visited her yet. She
informed us that now there was
a tooth dragon who had taken over
for the tooth fairy. We didn't
know! We were all smiling now,
even Nova. If you think about it
dragons have a lot of teeth, so it
makes sense. So that's the big
news from our cul-de-sac.

Sometimes my breath Is like
a feather.
I feel it’s light touch on my
upper lip and even in my nostrils.
The in breath Is soft and cool as it
tickles my upper lip & the out
breath is warm and moist like a
warm kiss. My mind becomes
still and calm like the surface
of a clear mountain lake.
